Design and draft detailed architectural drawings with dimensions, tolerances, revision control and notes for an extraordinary company in the exciting outdoors / sporting goods industry. Responsibilities of the HVAC Professional Engineer: Draft and UpdateAutoCAD and Revit architectural drawings, detail drawings and BOMs. Work with peer engineers with HVAC load calculations and energy simulations. Design sizing and routing of ductwork. Communicate effectively with outside contractors, architects and building owners. Stay apprised of trends in building codes and changing technology. Provide design team with HVAC data and support. Assist sales team with basic equipment sizing during the bidding process. Ready documentation for regular design reviews. Review and analyze ideas, designs, drawings, and related data to ensure all design criteria have been met. Update plans based on sketches, mechanical specs, engineering notes, and verbal cues from team. Maintain a database of and perform routine dimensional calculations on drawings. Requirements of the HVAC Professional Engineer: Professional engineering license (PE). Three + years HVAC design experience with equipment such as roof top units (RTUs), air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and hazardous ventilation systems. Functional knowledge of International Builders Codes and local building code standards. Understanding of ASHRAE standards in regard to system design. Solid experience in building information modeling (BIM), using Revit. Strong ability to multi task and coordinate with multiple teams within the organization. Fluid in MS Office applications. Experience with fabrication drawings is a bonus. Up to 20-30% travelrequired.
