About the Role As a Product Developer you will collaborate with others to build stable and performant solutions that support the company s initiatives. Some tasks you will be working on are developing new products for Buffy from both a design and production perspective. Through strong cross-functional co-creation you will help drive Buffy s Product Development team to create consumer goods far beyond customers expectations. Responsibilities Lead the development team through the Product Development process to translate relevant Buffy strategies and directions into finished product solutions.Design products within the context of Buffy Style defined by the Creative Directors, and work with freelance designers as requested.Develop product designs both in the office and on the factory floor to ensure maximum production efficiency.Work together with the Global Sourcing and Purchasing Developer to ensure products are manufactured at the ideal supplier. Work together with the Product Development Engineer to maximize product quality. Secure that our product offer is firmly based on knowledge and research about people s life at home in the U.S.Ensure that the products developed are profitable and sell according to forecast. Challenge existing solutions by driving innovation and creativity throughout Product Development. Must Have Bachelor s Degree in industrial design, product development, engineering, business administration or equivalent3-5 years of experience in design or product development of consumer goods. Product segment knowledge (Product, Market, Customer) and knowledge about different materials and their possibilitiesAbility to create design visualizations of products via sketches or design software.Strong project management skills and ability to quickly absorb frequent feedback from cross-functional partners. Nice to Have Experience within the Home Furnishing industry. Technical knowledge of various textile constructions (For Soft Goods Product Developer) or technical knowledge of upholstery, wood, metal, and plastics (For Hard Goods Product Developer).
